This beautiful, classic Parisian home from the 17th century is in the heart of the famous Tuilleries quarter on the right bank. This is a romantic location, walkable to all the downtown sights including the Louvre (half a mile), Notre Dame, Place de Concorde and the Opera. This home boasts classic French architecture with ornate ceiling moldings, hardwood floors, and antique furniture. It faces a calm inner courtyard with lots of sunshine. On offer are 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom (shared between the 2 rooms) in a private wing of the home. The largest bedroom offers a double bed, desk dating back to the 18th century, 2 comfortable armchairs, an art deco table and fireplace. The second room has a double bed, table and armchair. A single fold-out bed is also available for a child. Also available in the rooms is cable television with video, stereo, CDs and books. The 2 bedrooms are always rented to the same family or group of friends. The large bathroom is equipped with 2 washbasins, shower and dresser. Also available are toiletries, bathrobes and a hairdryer. The toilet is adjacent to the bathroom. Your hostess does not serve breakfast to you but orange juice, hot beverages, cereal, yogurt, honey, jam, bread and eggs are available for you in the kitchen/dining area to have at your convenience. Your hostess is in her 40s and works in a large Parisian Museum and is very knowledgeable about art and classical music and can advise you on museums and concerts. She speaks fluent English and good Italian. Arrival time at the home is only possible after 7:30pm unless you call the host to arrange another mutually convenient time.
